Marrakesh in December

DH, DS1+2 and looking to go to Marrakesh in late December, five days, coming back on Xmas eve. The boys will be 19 and 17, has snyone been at that time? Will they be able to sit by a pool or will it be too cold? Any other recommendations for things to do with two boys would also be great, thanks

I’ve been at that time. It was chilly morning and evening - warm jumper temp for me - and then really warmed up in the middle of the day. Maybe low 20s? Kids were in the pool, I wasn’t but was sunbathing. We had blue skies, perhaps we were lucky but it’s usually pretty dry there I believe.

Loads to do - the souks, the new town, YSL museum & Jardin Majorelle, day or overnight trip to the Atlas mountains and/or to the desert.

Thanks @minipie , I was thinking that would be the case.

I’ve been to Marrakech in December twice and it is very chilly in the morning like the UK (drops to like 12c) but very warm by lunchtime… around 22-24c.

I've been in November and the weather was glorious. DH and I were swimming every day. The locals thought we were nuts!

A day trip to Essaouira was good fun, it's a relaxed town which attracts a surfing crowd and is more laid back than Marrakech.

We’ve been in Jan and it was cold in the morning and about 17/18 later in the day. Pool was freezing not sunbathing weather.

Yes I have heard Jan and Feb are less good than Nov/Dec weather wise.
