Ok so an all inclusive hotel that has chips and ice cream and football pitches/classes etc recommendations please! Have accepted we cannot go anywhere unless son has these things or not bother going as he is insufferable without..
Was thinking over the Xmas holidays and was thinking Morocco? But open to anywhere warm enough to be outside and a heated pool.
Not asking much I know!

Los Zocos, Costa Teguise, Lanzarote.

BoredAuditor · 17/06/2024 13:45

Look at Gran Melia Isodora (or something) in Tenerife. Years ago but I'm sure that had a football pitch. Also had heated pools and Tenerife would be warm in December

BoredAuditor · 17/06/2024 13:47

Gran melia Palacio de isora

TUI magic life hotel cater well for teenagers and sporty people. More classes than you can imagine and daily football games (where we were had am and pm football if I remember correctly)

Ikos Oceania - they have had and some of the other Ikos hotels sometimes have special football camps with ex premier league footballers. I think Sani (same group) do as well. Not cheap! The football camp supplier is called Football Escapes. Even when the camps aren't on our DS has done football lessons and games at Oceania with a coach.

Club la Santa, Lanzarote.
Not AI but you can have half/full board as an option & the food is very good (always chips if you want them though!). Loads of different sports. Alcohol extra though if that's important to you.

Twotooto · 17/06/2024 14:11

Pine Cliffs in the Algarve has football, also tennis and golf. Also not AI but easy to do either breakfast or half board depending on your preference.

Every holiday resort I’ve ever been to has plenty of chips and ice cream so that will be the easier part of the request!!

Twotooto · 17/06/2024 14:13

Do check on when any football sessions run before you book though as these will often be school holiday as that is when the demand is.

IcedMocha · 17/06/2024 15:54

A few of the resorts we’ve been to haven’t had chips and ice cream so not always the case. Not an issue for me at all but son has issues around food so is for him.
Thanks for the recommendations-a lot of the European resorts not open in December/January which is why I was looking at Morocco and Canary Islands..

There is a football academy at THB tropical island in Lanzarote and you don’t have to stay there to book on it. The reviews for the hotel aren’t great but the football looks good and is a separate company.

TUI holiday villages all have football but possibly not in the winter.

Lykia · 17/06/2024 16:29

Liberty Lykia has all that.

Lykia

Beyaz the football coach is amazing with kids. It's my kids favourite holiday and mine too as they loved it and gave me a chance to relax too.

longdistanceclaraclara · 17/06/2024 17:26

Tui holiday village or blu

Mumski45 · 17/06/2024 23:29

Another vote for Beyaz at Liberty Lykia. Was our annual holiday for years when kids were younger.

Hi, where did you end up staying?

My response will be bit too late to help you this time but we have just came back from Tui Magic Life Fuerteventura - our boy loved it, was on the pitch pretty much most of the day and he wasn’t the only one.

hotel itself was also decent - definitely up for an refurb soon but with great food and service.

Newdoggo · 03/01/2025 12:27

What about a Royal Caribbean cruise? We took our early teen son many years ago and didn't see him the whole time - so many activities, he loved the independence!

IcedMocha · 26/02/2025 19:04

We didn’t end up going in the Xmas holidays.
We did go to Insotel Cala Mandia in Majorca in the late summer as had lots of football and pools, some slides etc. But actually I wouldn’t go again. Plus DS only played football once and refused most meals so there you go! Next holiday will be going somewhere I like I think..
