Chania Crete or Marmari Kos

Help mumsnetters!!!
I’ve pretty much narrowed down to two possible hotels for August holiday with two teens. These seem to be hitting my criteria of near beach with water sports, driving distance to a water park, near to some history and culture , relatively short transfers and good reviews all inclusive.

looking at hotel Dore in Crete and Grecotel paradiso in kos.

has anyone been to either and have any insight at all??? Don’t want to be in hectic brits abroad areas or night club noise but near some shops and restaurants for a change of scenery

Where did you go? I'm looking at Kos or Crete for next summer, been to Crete before and loved it, but done good deals coming up for Kos, we would hire a car and ideally looking for a hotel with rooms/suites with a separate bedroom, I don't go on holiday to share with DS (he snores)!

I'd do Chania but that's because I like Crete more than Kos. There's more to do
