EasyJet.... when can you check in and let it allocate you seats?

Can anyone remember?

I know I have done this before........

We have a Tui holiday and are flying with Easyjet.
We are traveling as a family with 2 adults, an 11 and 12 year old.

I have given our API and to choose our seats we have to pay (Is what it is)
BUT at some point in time, is it 72 hours before? we can check in and it will allocate us seats without us paying.

I REALLY DONT CARE WHERE WE SIT AND THE WORLD WOULDNT END IF WE WERN'T ALL SAT TOGETHER AND I WOULD NEVER EXPECT ANYONE WHO HAS PAID TO MOVE FOR US..... my children would also be fine sat alone.....

What I'm asking is can anyone remember at what point it will allocate you seats without you paying extra?

I can click "I don't mind" right now, and i know they will group us together as it's their policy to do this (and literally 3/4 of the plane seats are available), but im nervouse about getting to the end of the checking in process.

Can anyone confirm when we can just check in, and let EJ choose our seats?

I THINK it's now, but im not sure.

Has anyone clicked I dont mind 30 days before and then got to the end of the booking process and been told their seats?

In the past (when my children were younger) I have kept a close eye on the seats available, and made sure that IF the seats together were limited I would have paid to choose my seats.... but so far I have never needed to pay, as there have always been lots of seat options together, and ive then checked in at the first moment possible, when they choose my seats and been allocated seats together and not paid extra.

I hope this post makes sense.

Has anyone checked in with easy jet 30 days before, ticked "i dont mind where i sit", and at the end of the process had their seats allocated so you know where you will be sitting?

If you pay for a cabin bag it will autoallocate a seat. You could then I assume pay to be together if they wernet anywhere near eachother.

You should be able to check in now (unless it's different through holidays) and download your boarding pass. I usually book short trips a few weeks before and check in straight away. The only thing the boarding pass won't show now is the gate number.

30 days for Easyjet. As long as you check in early they seat you together (in my experience).

Usually check in opens 30 days before your flight and you are assigned seats then. Your boarding pass is created too.

Thank you all.

I've got to the end of check in now and we are now checked in and all sat together, in a line, on the closest empty line of standard seating towards the front of the plane..... the seats i'd have probably paid £64 for if id have paid choose them.
