If it exists!

  • UK, south-ish
  • suitable for short break 3-4 days
  • accommodation and entertainment for a 2.5 year old (so much entertainment often only really suitable for older kids) including wet weather options
  • accommodation where mum and dad can enjoy glass of wine in nice surrounds while toddler is in bed in evening (e.g hot tub? Nice views?)
  • bonus points if we can take the dog too

Check out Luxury Family Hotels! luxuryfamilyhotels.co.uk

They all have heated indoor pools, crèches and other activities for kids. They can loan you a cot and baby monitor so you can pop downstairs for dinner or a drink. And they're very kid friendly overall, with plenty of kid-friendly food options.

We've previously visited the Ickworth and Woolley Grange, off to Fowey Hall in October.

Depends on your budget really?

Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park in Weymouth. It's a caravan park but more upmarket than Haven. They have deluxe lodges with hot tubs but even the cheapest caravans are really nice. There's a spa, a great toddler pool with a slide and water play, soft play next to the bar, outdoor play areas, nice ice creams on the beach.

Loads to do nearby like aquarium, Monkey World, steam train, dinosaur museum over in Lyme Regis. We spent a rainy week there in October and never got bored!
