Has anyone been to Gardaland. Trying to work out if we need a couple of days to do the waterpark and theme park? What are your hints/tips if you've been? Thanks.

We went years ago, before the water park opened. We were in the area for two weeks so bought VIP tickets that allowed unlimited entry & allowed us to jump certain queues. We went three times & got more than our money’s worth, I don’t think you need more than a day for the theme park but our girls loved it so we were glad we went more than once (even more glad we could jump
queues!).

We did one day in Gardaland and one in Movieland and it was more than enough time. Also took day trips to Venice, Verona and some towns around the lake. Such easy transport.

We went very recently. We did the Waterpark and theme park in a day, and came back a second day for the aquarium (good thing to do if it rains!). You can buy (quite pricey!) tickets that include a second visit to the park and aquarium and sure you could fill the time if you wanted. Having said that, plenty of other things to do in the surrounding area if the weather's good!

Amazing. Thanks for the replies. @hentheeighth how did you split your time between the water park and theme park? My kids could normally stay at a waterpark all day

I have a similar water baby but we went in May and the pools aren't heated, so eventually she got cold!! Tempted DD out with a big towel and some lunch 😁
In the height of summer you might want longer in the water park and could always spend a second day split between park and aquarium.
Have a great time!!

We've just come back from this area. We did the two day ticket where you can go to both the water park and main park on the first day and just the main park on the second day. It worked out as only €36 (I think) more than one day park/water park ticket and so is worth it.
We went to the water park first as soon as the park opened at 10am, which was the best decision as it was really quiet and didn't start to get busy for an hour or two. We spent a total of 6 hours just at the water park (including lunch). By the time we left the water park it was heaving (those with a park-only ticket were given the option to add entry to the water park for only €12 each but they can't go in until 2pm - from then it got very busy).
This meant that we had all rest of the afternoon/evening and the whole of the next day for the main park. The afternoon of day 1 we spent a lot of time trying to work out where we were, finding water fountains/toilets and getting orientated. Between the two days we were at Gardaland for a total of 16.5 hours (dh stayed for an extra 2 hours on day 1 to go on the adrenaline rides).
The app is useful (although the interactive map is not always clear) but if you use the location services, so it knows where you are in the park, it devours iPhone battery. The second day I closed the app down completely when I didn't need it and the battery lasted longer.
