Hi everyone. We are travelling to Vancouver in July and am trying to work out a loose itinerary to make the most of our trip.
Already booked Vancouver Island for three days, planning on going to Whistler,Skygondola trip . Staying in Kitsilano where my son is but he can only take limited AL so we will be exploring on our own during the day.Obviously he will have suggestions but because he is living and working there he might not have found all the gems.
Does anyone who has visited have ‘ not to miss ‘ places that they really recommend?
Really want to make the most of our stay because it has cost a fortune in flights and accommodation! So excited 😊

Hire bikes and cycle round Stanley Park
Take a water taxi to Granville Island for the food market
Grouse Mountain - cable car up to a beautiful area for hiking

Don't bother with the Capilano Suspension Bridge - too crowded and expensive

(Your son may have already mentioned these if he lives there)

Have a look at the GuideAlong app. We found it to be very good although we were also heading over the Rockies.

Agree with the above comment on Capilano - not worth the $$$.

Do Lynn Canyon suspension bridge instead of Capilano - less commercialized and much much cheaper (https://lynncanyon.ca/information/). Queen Elizabeth Park is nice and could dine at Seasons in the Park for a very nice dinner.
Could go to Richmond Night Market on the weekend - take the Skytrain to get there (https://richmondnightmarket.com).
