Hi all

We've just decided to visit the Poole and Isle of Purbeck region this coming weekend so not much time to lose. We're looking for accommodation for two adults plus DS who is 18 months - and a very tidy one at that!

Can anyone please recommend some child-friendly accommodation? We'd be happy with self-catering but would consider B&B or hotel etc. However, I would be a bit worried about staying in a place with no stairgates but perhaps I'm an over-protective mother??!! .

The only other thing is the decor. Sorry but I just do heavy patterns or mismatching colour schemes. I'm looking for a nice serene decor if possible!!!

Thanks in advance!

Hi

I live in Poole.

There's Rockley Park which is Caravan site but in lovely setting and great for kids.

If you go to www.boroughofpoole.com they'll give you more info on B&B's.

We have several Travel Lodges and a Holiday Inn which is smack town centre.

Hope this helps.

Emma

Hi ladies

Many thanks for your replies. We ended up in a large 'family room' in a B&B in Swanage in the end. Very nice, modern and clean - but perhaps two bedrooms would have been better!

Incidentally, I had a look at the Travelodge website and a family room with an instant coffee breakfast would have come to about £140 per night. We payed £80 in the end in Swanage with a hearty organic breakfast.
