How bad is jet lag from UK to Peru/Lima?

I'm thinking of doing a last minute retreat in Peru in July. Just wondering how bad the jetlag could/will be? not been to South America before.

It depends…(mainly on where you start/from and when you fly).

From Europe/Uk it’s a similar time zone shift to flying to the Eastern US which some find ok, some struggle with.

However unlike the eastern seaboard there are added complications such as potentially a longer flight time/multiple flights and day flight verses night flight can make a difference.

Can only compare with going to th USA and Mexico but found going on a day flight fine, makes for a very long day but any jet lag quite easy to get over. Coming back the jet lag is much more noticeable. Have tended to be on night flights and find it really hard to sleep on a plane so arrive back shattered in the morning UK time and have to battle to stay awake until a decent time in the evening!

The biggest issue is it's a lot of traveling time? Travelling is tiring. I don't personally get jet lag do I can't comment on that but I would need a day to recuperate after so many hours
