British Columbia (Pemberton) Vancouver July/August 24

Hello,
Ideas please. I am travelling on 18/7-8/8/24. I will be staying in Pemberton BC .with a dear friend (UK based) who has a holiday home. What to see? What to do? I believe bears are seen in the back garden!
Unfortunate my mobility is restricted by arthritis in both knees.
We will go to Vancouver for a few days. friend will arrange hotels etc on a shared basis.
My personal budget is generous but not outlandish. I will want to "treat" friend to something.

Great restaurants in Vancouver. The Michelin Guide lists the starred ones and plenty of others. Whale watching or “ flight seeing” might interest you too. The Grouse Mountain gondola might be fun too.

Not a special treat for a friend, but don’t leave Vancouver without going to the museum of Anthropology at Uni of BC. It’s not the easiest to get to but it’s truly a great museum.

If you have more time and money, see if you can get into a bear watching trip.

We are overnighting after arrival in airport area before picking up car.Heading to Pemberton. a weekend in Vancouver when we have settled down.? To be honest, the view from back door of Pemberton home that I have seen appears to be jaw droopingly beautiful . I love idea of Anthropological Museum.
I will look into idea of a "sea plane" trip but seems like a challenging choice after recent events.
