Ever tried Home Exchange / home swap

We would like to try Home Exchange in order to benefit from free accommodation abroad. I have been browsing the website https://www.homeexchange.com/dashboard We would find a family to swap houses with for two or three weeks in the summer - they would stay in our house and we would stay in theirs. Has anyone tried this? Please tell me your experiences, good and bad.

We have a four bed with a big garden, and live close to the beach, so hope that that would attract someone to swap.

I've had mine up for over a month and have had no interest, I'm near a big city. I think most people want outside of the UK and the people outside of the UK don't want to come here. Strange, because i know someone who lives locally who has done it loads of times. So maybe it's just my house lol.
