wondering if anyone had any recommendations for 5 star resort somewhere warm

two preteens, 2 adults. water babies but not completely competent so we will still be with them. kids club would be beneficial for an occasional break

mid twenties temperature wise ideal or heated pools so they can play.

would be great to have -

flumes
beach
day trip to sight see historical sights
coffee shop
swim up room
decent food*

*2 of the crew are autistic so by decent food I mean good quality fresh food, available plain would be beneficial - eg pasta or eggs cooked to order, a buffet that looks fresh and inviting etc

will be the kids first time abroad so somewhere without an epic flight time would be beneficial. but I know we’ll need to travel for warmer weather.

i need a really good rest

Following with interest. I was browsing and Cyprus looks good weather wise but the prices were astronomical

I’d pick Egypt.

Lara Beach in Turkey is lovely. We've been twice in October, perfectly warm enough to swim and Antalya is a beautiful city which is lovely to visit. It has a charming old town abd harbour.
I think the Barut Lara would fit your criteria, they have swim up rooms, an aqua park, a Pâtisserie, lovely beach and loads of restaurants and facilities. I've not been there but was looking at it for next year. https://barutlara.com/en/accommodation/deluxe-garden-swim-up-room

Paloma Finesse has everything on your list, I think. Not sure if the teen club runs in October, but it did when we were there in May last year. The selection of restaurants was great, food was good quality and could be adapted if necessary. There’s quite a bit to do nearby in the area.

Following as looking for something similar

I came on to recommend this hotel. We went last year, and are going again this summer. It’s absolutely amazing. If you can stretch get a swim up lagoon room. You will not be disappointed

It will absolutely be better than the U.K.

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 06/06/2024 10:59

No way of knowing honestly.

friend was in Antalya last week… it was 23/24 a couple of days and felt chilly at times… another friend there just now… it’s 37. Not chilly 😂

Look at Senseanna in Crete near Heraklion. We just came back from a week there with a swim-up room. It also has 5 great slides. I imagine May and October weather similar.

Iberostar Lanzarote. This hotel genuinely surprised me with how good it was. Food amazing. Lots of pools. Lanza is a good temp

It was roasting last August when we went. Was fine going from under umbrella to swim up bar. 😂

October will be mid 20s, really nice weather

LittleMonks11 · 06/06/2024 17:34

Hilton Malta

LordSnot · 06/06/2024 17:36

I did Majorca in October and the weather was fine but all the touristy places were closed for the season. So if you want days out, make sure to look up opening times for attractions too.

Sunnysummer24 · 06/06/2024 17:36

When in October? We went to Cyprus mid October and the pool temp was fine but it got cooler throughout the week and I think it may have been too cold by the end of October.

Monkeybutt1 · 06/06/2024 17:40

It's a long flight but mexico is lovely in October and the hotels are amazing

YorkNew · 06/06/2024 20:41

The thing to check is are the pools.
