Salou tips for children please

Holiday to Salou in August children ages 6,4 and 9 months. Any must haves/must do tips? Is Portaventura worth it with these ages? Also, Aquopolis or Caribe? We did Aquopolis when eldest was a baby and found it great but no experience of anywhere else?

Also packing tips for 3 children please? It’s for a week. How many beach towels? Have those hooded microfibre towels for each and they don’t take up a massive amount of room thankfully.

Thanks in advance

It'll be very hot in August so I'd get some cheap plastic croc type sandals to walk on the sand in and leave by the sea while they're paddling.

Great thank you! I’ll put these on the list

This but actual water shoes maybe, that they can just leave on all the time for paddling and at water parks? Decathlon and Sports Direct do cheap ones.

It's a brilliant family resort. Lots of discounts available for Aquaopolis - think the McDonalds across from the beach has 2 for 1 ticket offers with certain meals. PortAventura is brilliant. Our DD is 4 and she absolutely loved it and could go on lots of rides as she is over 100cm. The next height restriction is 105cm so depending on the height of your 4 year old, they might get on more rides. She also loved the shows. If you're doing a day trip there, go to one of the Michelangelo supermarkets and buy 3 packs of chupa chup lollies to get €22 Euro off an adult ticket. Not sure a 9 month old would get much out of it but worth a day for your other DCs.

If you're buying inflateables or beach toys, shop around a bit. Some of the stores are a fortune and shops a few doors along will sell for less.

Enjoy!

Don't go! We went recently and it's a Benidorm junior with lots of noise at night so you won't sleep! Where are you staying as this is super important. We stayed in the loud part. Lesson learnt.

The beach is amazing and portaventura world is also fabulous - they were our best days! There is a whole shaded kids area in portaventura so although it's expensive it really felt value for money. Your hotel may do a deal so don't pre book.

There's a few threads on here about Salou so have a search.
