Bruges with kids

Hello stopping overnight in Bruges tmw, got a 3 and 5 year old. We were hoping to do a horse and carriage ride but it seems they're closed by 4pm and all day Tuesday so we might miss out. Does anyone know if there's more than one company doing it?

Also are there any other recommendations to make it fun for small kids? Chocolate shops of course. They're not big on art galleries or beer more's the shame!

They do great chips with mayo.

Waffles. Go on boat down river.

We went to see the windmills. You can pay a few euros to go in but we just viewed from the outside. We also got waffles from Chez Albert, very yummy. They're pretty big, our 3 and 5 year old shared one and that was plenty for them.

The historium looked good but we just popped in to use toilets (they cost €1 if not paying to go into the museum).

There were loads of horses waiting in the main square, pretty sure they run everyday.

Thanks everyone! We had a great day, did a horse ride, got moules frites for tea, wandered about, perused the chocolate shops! Kids were happy and so were we.
