Marmaris day trips and tours

I know Marmaris is marmite so need to comment on our decision- I have read the other threads🙄😄.

2 weeks end October fully inclusive so can chill but do want to do eg day trips and activities. My teenager does have heath problems and having done an Explore tour 25 years ago I know the distances are huge so ruling out Ephesus.

can anyone make suggestions for reliable and safe trips ideally with operators used?

Definitely:
catamaran trip to Rhodes town
horse riding (for experienced riders and with high horse welfare)
kayaking/ paddle boarding
walking tours/ historic interest

possibly- trips too long?
Dalyan boat trip / mud bath/ turtle beach- Worth it in October ?
pukammale- still too long trip
Fethiye/ blue lagoon/ Olu Deniz

others?

Cheers

Turtle Beach is a long day and very underwhelming in my opinion. Didn't even see a turtle. It's a very cheap trip if you want to experience it.
The mud baths you have to leave all your belongings in the seating/cafe area at the entrance (i was happy to stay with them as the smell put me off going any further) It's sharp and slippy underfoot too apparently.
That's just my opinion, you might go and have a different experience.

I’m in Icmeler round the bay from there just now and recommend Lara boat for a private trip just for yourselves if your son is able? Swim stops, very comfortable boat, (steps into the sea/paddle board to sit on if desired) plenty shade and sunbeds, a lovely bbq lunch, drinks and a cheesecake/ice cream fruit platter later.

We did a boat trip to Symi, which we really enjoyed. I actually love Marmaris and all of the coastline around there. The blue lagoon is lovely. I wouldn’t bother with Fethiye. If you can find a boat that will take you to Sailor’s Paradise totally do it. There’s a fabulous restaurant there only accessible from the sea. You can swim and snorkel there. It’s an amazing place. Enjoy, I know you will.

We did Ephesus and Pamukkale as a two day trip with an overnight 20 odd years ago, with a 2yr old and a 5yr old, so don't rule it out if you'd like to go.

Thanks all I didn't get any notifications so apologies if I came across as rude🙈

Ephesus may be back on the to do list but private trips are very expensive. Any view on hiring a car - are the roads any safer? 2 day trip is an option but teen is ND and it might be too much -change in hotel if 2 day trip. But it’s the bus trip - comfort breaks or travel sickness is my hesitation for the big coach tour. They also only seem to have 2 hrs in Ephesus which seems a bit short for the travel effort.

Coach was big and modern when we went 20 years ago...our kids were small and I don't remember them getting travel sick which they did often. Can't remember what the hotel was like, other than it including a belly dancer as entertainment. Also can't remember how long we were at Ephesus but I think we might have gone for an included lunch afterwards?
