Morocco coast

Can anyone advise on the best coastal location for a holiday in Morocco? We are a family of four, with two teens who like to swim and eat! Might be nice to travel into Marrakech at some point, visit museums and historical sites etc. Perhaps Rabat, Casablanca or Agadir?

Essaouira was very pretty from memory. Maybe not enough beach for a beach holiday though.

Marrakech is very hectic and interesting to look at but I felt agressively hassled at every turn. I'd base myself at a lovely hotel or two and plan day trips if possible as I found the Moroccan tourist experience to be best in small chunks.
