Anyone been to Florida (disney) in July

I would be grateful if anyone could give me the low down on taking my two children 8 and 6 to Florida (disney) in the summer. They have never been abroad before and I personally think it would be way too hot, although we were considering Spain etc during the summer as another option, but have been told the humidity is bad in Florida at that time of year. Would like to book something soon. Thanks in advance.

It is extremely hot and humid in the summer months, with rainfall that is torrential at times. However, there is air conditioning everywhere and you have to balance it out.

We are going in July for the umpteenth time, so hasn't put us off. My kids are 6 and 14. If i had 3 weeks holiday in September or April I would rather go then, but our schools aren't designed around my holiday needs(unfortunately

We went early august, as a teacher I don;t really have much flexibilty in holidays so we had to go then, We found it very hard going with the heat, you need to balance out inside and outside days and days at waterparks.

It's very humid and rains heavily most days (although in fairness, it usually clears up). My main concern about Disney in July is that the queues for rides/'meet Mickey' etc will be horrendous. I appreciate that most people can only take holidays in the school holidays, but if there is anyway you could go when it is less busy (Feb half term, Oct half term for instance) it might be more fun for you all.

When we went to Disney early August the queues were not that long to be honest. Friends have told us they are at there worst at sprink break. I think we only had a few hours of rain and it usually came as a welcome relief.

We went at Easter- I honestly cannot imagine the queues getting any worse than when we were there. It was HORRENDOUS.

weather was fab though.

June (mid-late) was OK - yes it was v. hot and humid, and I worried about DD (then 8mths) but we managed even though DS was running and temperature on top of the ambient heat for a few days - and the queues were OK, with strategic use of FastPass. TBH, rather that than Disneyland Paris in the bitter cold, which we have also done!

Thanks for all the advice not sure what to do for the best all I know is that I would like to see some sunshine soon! Still thinking about Costa Del Sol or Pollensa in Majorca. Too much to think about at this time of night.

Thanks again
