Any suggestions for nice, family friendly hotels in the lake district, no more than £150 per room per night?

We normally venture down to the south coast so this will be new pastures and we don't know the area at all. We have an 18 Mo DS.
Not looking for absolute luxury on this budget but must be nice, reasonable food and accomodation and welcoming toward children!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

When DD was a few months old we stayed at the Burnside Hotel in Bowness on Lake Windermere. I would recoomend it: good 3 star hotel, with indoor swimming pool in case weather's bad. We got a family room with small bedroom annex for DD, although I discovered when there that they also did self-catering cottages. Short walk to ferries to other parts of Windermere. There were a variety of restaurants in Bowness, plus a museum about Beatrix Potter. In all, we had a really nice time.
