I'll be flying into Basel and will have a few days to explore Switzerland before heading into France. I have never visited Switzerland before but it has always been on my bucket list. Does anyone have any advice on where to base myself that is as reasonably priced as possible (from my research Basel looks reasonable with lots of options, although still quite far from Grindelwald and Interlaken), that will allow me to see some beautiful views and mountains. After researching I am aiming for Grindewald and Interlaken, although very happy to be told alternative recommendations!) I can't walk up hills for long distances, so easy transport via trains and cable cars are preferred over beautiful hiking trails!
