Holiday inspiration needed

Was hoping to take our daughters to Paris and Disneyland Paris in August. It's the Olympics so prices have increased and not much is available.
So we've decided against this.

I'm not a big fan of driving or flying. We like the idea of going on the Eurostar. Will fly if absolutely necessary. Ideally want something abroad. Looking at a week late August.

Can anyone give me any inspiration? Thank you

It can be done by using trains...
That is an interail ticket... travelling to Paris from there to Freiburg im Breisgau ... then take a local train to Herbolzheim (I think) then Bus to Rust... and B&B booked.

Or you fly to Karlsruhe and hire a car...

You could also look at doing Duinrell, Netherlands by Eurostar

Billund, Denmark for Legoland / Lego House / Lalandia, but would probably need to fly

Elsewhere in France? Eurostar connections are good… maybe Provence?
