60th suprise holiday for mum

Myself and my sister want to suprise my mum with a holiday next June (2025) as it’s her 60th. We want somewhere not too far but with nice weather? Any ideas or inspiration? Thanks 🥰

Would you prefer a city break or something more relaxing or beach / pool?

What sort of budget?

The Balearics are great because the flight is nice and short - Palma if you wanted a city break, lots of options if you wanted something more relaxing. Menorca has some lovely resorts close to the airport and the island isn’t very big either which makes things easy.

We are thinking of around 5 days, probably beach nice hotel with a nice pool and food? Be able to go out for walks etc! Palma actually sounds nice

Malaga is good. Lots of flights, near the airport, lovely hotels, lots to see and beach.

If it were me I would like Rome, Palma, Athens, Marseilles or similar. I like a city with things to do, nice places to eat and somewhere that feels completely different.

Valencia is another city with a beach which is lovely.

The nice thing about Palma is there are lots of flights from all over the UK which helps with making the most of the days you’ve got. You could stay in the city or somewhere close by with good transport links.

Malaga which is suggested above is similar. Alicante too.

Budapest and a spa

Palma, Majorca I'd say. Only a couple of hours on a plane and lots to do and the weather will be gorgeous too. What lovely daughters you are - I bet your Mum will be thrilled wherever you go! I'll be 60 in a few years and I'd just be glad to spend time with my DCs anywhere really!
