Ryanair and Trunkis?

Tomorrow I fly to Crete with my three year old and six year old. I'm a bit nervous flying anyway so getting more anxious about the process than I would have been pre-kids.

I'd like to take their Trunki suitcases for fitting extra toys, and the three year old isn't great at walking long distances so in a pinch it can be used for sitting on.

The Ryanair website is pretty clear that although adults can only take one small bag, Trunkis are allowed for kids. But I've read online that sometimes airport staff don't abide by this, and make you pay extra.

Has anyone flown Ryanair from Stansted and been denied use of a Trunki?!
