Malta

Hi All,
has anybody been to Malta please and if so can you share your experience/best things to do or see. Not sure on what area would be the best to stay in, we’re in our 20s so would like a range of sight seeing/dinners and nightlife but also maybe some excursions or experiences.
Potentially looking at 3-4 days with a friend, around June or July

Hi I was in malta for a week in April it was beautiful, I would love to go back and see more of Valletta! Can't say much about the night life I had my 5 dd with me. We stayed in pretty bay was a stunning beach but rented a car for 4 days for 80 euro! So cheap drove around seen all the sights! Beautiful country to visit, I'd imagine it would be very busy in peak season it's quite a small island

It's fun to stay in Sliema near where the ferry goes to Valetta and take the ferry across

Valetta is well worth seeing
The exhibition on the history is really interesting and the tour of the Knights Templar hospital.

Hagar Qim prehistoric temple is worth a visit

Near Rabat:
Ta'Qali craft market - beautiful filigree silver jewellery
Malta aircraft museum - a hangar filled with fascinating and some quite random things!
Mdina old city

A day trip to Gozo, we did a trip where we got picked up early, taken to Gozo for a day of quadbiking, a boat trip on Gozo and then a speedboat back to Malta.

Buses go everywhere and it's tiny so no car hire needed.
