Thinking about going here but not sure how sporty it is and if it has football and basketball which are essentials for my kids. Anyone been who can tell me and if they recommend it overall? Also, how the heck do you book it? Their website is rubbish and won't let me book (sends you to a contact form which they never reply to). Seems to be available through the usual package providers. TIA.

I was looking at that but not booked, available through BA easily

We've been twice. It's a superb place and there is lots going on, including football, tennis and basketball (I think!). There's also water sports, sailing, cycle hire for the surrounding hills, a gorgeous spa, arts and crafts, bingo, disco, yoga etc as well as a proper musical/drama production every night in an open air amphitheatre - a different one each night!

We went both times via BA and would recommend.

Drop them an email directly to check they offer everything you want during the time you'll be there, they were very friendly and helpful when we went.

It's a beautiful corner of the planet, we really want you to return!

*want TO return, not want you to return! 😆

I've been and loved their food and overall experience. I think it's one of the top places I've been . I haven't seen the sporting side to it but there are sports courts as I was too busy eating but it's amazing. The rooms I found a bit small and small narrow steps to get to it but you barely spend time in the room anyway. Each night you have a different entertainment that rotates around the resort. The beach and sea is picturesque, the guests are very classy and mainly family friendly and many local families. You can book it through BA and contact the hotel separately beforehand if you have any other questions. I know people who go there every year as they love it so much which is why we were introduced to it. I was going to go this year but just had a baby so im thinking something more lowkey but would definitely go next year. Enjoy

We’ve just booked so glad to hear good reports. Going via BA as it actually worked out a little cheaper than separately (in BA sale) but the resort did respond to the booking form.

Just to let you know op, we have decided to go ahead with Hillside this year after being a little unsure how we would cope with a newborn but went ahead with it anyway through BA.
