Week holiday solo with 3 year old DS

I'm looking to book a beach/pool holiday for myself and 3 year old DS for one week in August.

I just can't seem to make any decisions. Do I want all inclusive or B&B? Where to go.

I was prioritising a hotel which has child care facilities but they are few and far between for a 3 year old.

I've travelled lots with him before and he's so trouble but it would be nice to have the occasional hour to myself.

What hotels have you stayed at and enjoyed?

royal son bou menorca is always my recommendation for toddlers - they have kids clubs for 0-2 and 3-4. Great facilities and right by a gorgeous beach

We've not been yet but have booked the Elysium Hotel in Paphos purely because it has a kids club for 3 year olds (& has great reviews). Just really hoping he'll go in it 😬

I wouldnt see the point in paying out for All Inclusive. Your son won't eat much and you'll hardly be laying into the cocktails with a 3 yo in tow. I'd just pay as you go.

We LOVED our Neilson holiday in Sardinia, the kids club is amazing and I met a few people travelling solo to just enjoy the activities, they are all included. The staff is very friendly and service minded and the nannies are very good. Our eldest (3.5) cried when we were leaving as he had so much fun at the kids club. You can collect them whenever so he was in and out the club throughout the day. I highly recommend it. I would not hesitate to travel on my own there and let my son stay in the kids club. They have resorts in Greece and Croatia too. It’s not as high end as IKOS but I’m quite fussy, especially with food, and I’m happy. The resort in Sardinia is quite small which I liked, right on the beach. They have several villas each with a terrace where you can sit outside.

I've been solo parenting since DD15 was 1. The holidays that gave me and her the best time was through Scott Dunn, they have the best kids clubs and I got down time. We most enjoyed Pine Cliffs and Sun Gardens.

We used TUI one year but honestly I did not like the pain of having to hover over the app at 6pm the night before to get her a space on kids club, went back to Scott Dunn for the guaranteed kids space.

Also I found AI a bit pointless as I never drank much etc when she was just with me, I really liked Sun Gardens, it has a nice choice of restaurants and had the apartment even though it's also a hotel which meant you could have a casual breakfast/coffee.

Definitely Menorca. I can’t recommend accommodation because I don’t have toddlers, but Menorca is so toddler friendly.
