Probably but can be wet too.

Last year on 23 August the max temperature reached in Bordeaux was 39.4 degrees C having been 35 degrees all week. But the week before and the week after it was mid to high 20s.

In 2022 it was well over 30 degrees most of the month.

I got the figures from here

We went in Aug 2022, it was boiling hot, lots of sunflowers and corn died in the field. I remember taking the tram in Bordeaux at 40 degrees in the sun, no windows, no aircon, it was not fun. However that was quite an exceptional summer , even in UK it was quite hot.

We were there about three weeks ago. It was 32 degrees - that was certainly unexpected! Having lived in the area for several years, the weather can be unpredictable - you'll probably get lovely sunshine, but you might not.

I went to La Rochelle last August so slightly further north. It was cold and rainy for most of the week - I was so disappointed!
