Hi, we are going to Lanzarote next week & I was just wondering about the regulations. I would like to take Aptimel formula which would be sealed would I still have to open & taste it. Also would I be able to take snacks on the plane i.e sealed organic crisp, raisins etc.

I don't think you can take the cartons as they are more than 100ml

You can take snacks

I think they make allowances for formula though. DH brought through 2 cartons of orange juice (by mistake) at Heathrow last time we travelled

You can take more than 100m baby milk as long as it's a sensible amount for what you're likely to need for your flight. I don't have a little one but did ask this question at Heathrow for another mnetter a couple of months ago and they were still asking parents to taste milk. But also got the impression that no-one was particularly sure and that there are differences between airports. Does it tell you on your departure aiport's website?

We just came back from Lanzarote on weds. We flew from Manchester and on the way there, we were asked to put all liquids in out hand luggage in a clear plastic bag. We had dd's medicine, unsealed and got through fine.

On the way home though, they took all out drinks off us, even sealed ones. Sure you will be ok with formula though. Are you taking cartons?

Snacks you can take on no probs.

Have a lovely holiday. We had a fantastic week, weather really good- wear plenty on suncream though- the wind makes you not realise how hot it is!

Think they will make you taste it if you take it on as hand luggage. I had to on the way to Italy last September so unless things have cooled off since then they will make you open it.

A lot of airport now have boots stores now in departure lounge past security. If you buy it past security from boots they wont make you open it. We were told this by boots last time we was away. You can ring the particular boots store in advance and they will ensure they put sufficient milk aside for you. We flew from east midlands.
