Toddler Friendly Holiday

Hi we would like to plan a holiday (7-10 days) at the start of September. Travelling with our 18 month old DD and would like somewhere toddler Friendly. We want to go somewhere where we will hopefully get some sunshine and that we can fly to directly from Dublin. We are open to anywhere in Europe really. I have come across lots of family friendly hotels or campsites but not necessarily ideal for a toddler. We don't need a kids club but would like somewhere with a small pool for babies a playground maybe close to for example a petting farm. Also open to any nice toddler friendly hotels in the UK. Thanks for any help anybody can offer .

Hi,

Don't know how interested you are in this sort of thing, but we recently went on a short break to somewhere called "Sandyballs" (haha, yes that name is for real).

It's in the UK so not very exotic, but it's run by Away Resorts which is a sort of cheaper Butlins, catering more to families with younger children.

We took our kids, both under 4, and they had a great time. There's a pool which has two mini splash pools, a small soft play, some organised fun before bedtime. You can rent bikes with trailers or child seats, as well as cosy coupes and trikes.

Restaurants and cafes on site which is very handy and a short drive away there's a small town with a massive outdoor play area. You can choose from staying in a lodge or caravan if I remember rightly.

I don't know maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I liked everything being so readily available and like I said I think it catered well for very littlies.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

Hilton Dalaman. Air Lingus has just started direct flights.

It has a 30cm deep toddler pool with little slides and fountains, a playground, a lovely private beach and a petting zoo. The staff are great with children, and the food is excellent and really easy for feeding little ones.

There is a special baby area in the kids club with loads of toys for little ones that you go to with them.

They are two hours ahead so we stay on home time and put them to bed late local time and enjoy a lie in!

Only 20 minutes from the airport.

Oh and once you arrive there is an app where you can order baby supplies to your room for free. Like potty, steps, baby bath etc. The travel cots are a good size and good quality.

Thanks so much both they look like great options! Sandy Balls (😹) actually looks like an ideal toddler trip even if we don't do it for summer holidays it might be something to do later in the year and we hadn't thought of turkey so I'll look inro it. There is probably no such thing as a holiday with a toddler really but I'm hoping if we go somewhere toddler friendly it will tire her out enough so can enjoy it too!

Lots of gorgeous family friendly towns villages and hotels in Corfu.

Plus the return Aer lingus flights to Corfu in September are in and around €200 pp at the moment.
Not bad at all. They were almost twice the price last month.
