Mini-break with DH - where to?!

DH and I want to go away as we are celebrating a big bday in September and have 5 days that we can take off without children. Where would you recommend. Probably 3 hours max flight from London airports and somewhere not too far from the airport on the other side. Would love to stay somewhere lovely but not too expensive. Budget of around £1500. Quite happy to just chill somewhere lovely but equally happy to go somewhere with a bit of culture. Somewhere where the food and wine will be good and not too expensive!

Malaga , nice in itself and lots of day trips you can do from there.

Carcassonne. It's magical and will be lovely at that time of year when the crowds have died down a bit.

Seville - staying somewhere like Hotel Palacio de Villapanes for city break luxury with a pool

Corfu - staying somewhere like Domes Miramare or Nido if you want resort, Corfu Palace if you want to be in Corfu Town with a pool

Ibiza - staying somewhere like Atzaro Agroturismo or Agroturismo Can Sastre for pure relaxation, or Hotel Ses Piteras for something more buzzy

Thanks for these great suggestions so far. We have been to Ibiza and Carcassonne. For those who mentioned Malaga, Croatia and Madrid, can you suggest some nice hotels? And @cherryassam I can't find a hotel of that name in Seville. Was it maybe known as a different name? Was Seville cheap for dining out?

Definitely somewhere like Greece, Helsinki, Santorini etc. will be coming to the end of season but beautiful and warm still.. chillier in the evenings. Italy? Amalfi coast might be cheaper at this time of year. Croatia is beautiful too. Or a city break!

I find it less expensive than Madrid or Barcelona and really good quality. Lovely atmosphere

Bordeaux or Lyon for food and wine, or Montenegro for somewhere culturally different.

Lyon for food and wine. Flights should be cheap too. £1500 is a good budget but not loads.

Prague, so much to do and if you stay off Wenceslas Square you're unlikely to see stag parties
