Southall Travel/Away Holidays

Hi, has anyone booked holidays through Southall Travel or Away Holidays please (think Away Holidays is under Southall Travel)? Just want to make sure that it's legitimate and not a scam. If it's legit, how is it doing when dealing with issues that might arise with flights or hotels? Thank you very much.

I booked flights with them back in 2019 for a family trip to Havana, planned for April 2020.

Of course Covid happened, and it took ages for me to get my money back- months and months.

I could have understood if id been advised to wait as they were waiting for government guidance or something.

Instead was just outright told, oops that's too bad you wont get a refund. Would not explain anything. As time went on, no one would answered the phones /emails. Had to quote all sorts of legislation and threaten legal action and in the end got a full refund.'

I'm sure a lot of it was due to the lack of information their end, but their customer service at that time was sorely lacking. Shame really as had a great deal in terms of flight costs, and would have used them again.

Look them up on Companies House to reassure yourself. Southall Travel has I believe been around for many years so providing nobody has cloned the name it should not be a scam.

We have used Southall travels for years to book flights to India. Never any problems.

i would nt book them. They messed up my booking, I went to airport and found my ticket is not confirmed or they overbooked . Luckily airline sorted us and put on different airline. all i was offered £50 voucher from Southall. i didn't even bother
