Ikos equivalent

Any recommendations for resorts equivalent to ikos but cheaper?

We’re going to Ikos this year (at crippling expense in school hols!) but last year went to Martinhal in Portugal. It’s a similar vibe but not quite as ‘luxe’ and a bit cheaper (but not THAT much, depending on when you go). We loved it - lovely kids club and staff, plenty of pools / restaurants / activities and lovely setting with beautiful views. The accommodation itself was fine - not ‘top end’ perhaps but still very nice.

Tbh I think I you want a similar level of service/luxury etc to Ikos you won’t find it much cheaper elsewhere. You can bring the price down by going outside school hols, choosing a slightly less well placed apartment etc but overall I think it’ll still be pretty eye watering I’m afraid!

My most recent visit was disappointing. I found it had become very well off chav for want of a better. Too many women carrying Christian Dior book bags and placing them in prime positions to be seen. Lots of pumped up lips and boobs and crazy lashes. Men with full sleeve tattoos and just a general feeling of not quite what I wanted to be around. No exclusive quiet luxury.
OP there are lots of stunning resorts that are not like this. They aren't cheap but they are more tasteful and sometimes have promotions.
Check out ITC travel, elegant resorts or Mr & Mrs Smith or similar and chat to them.

my friend recommends sani in place of ikos but I just just saw on another posts the price is creeping up - so might not be that much cheaper

Which Ikos was this ? Doesn't sound remotely like the ones I have visited !!
