We are going with older teenage boys 16+. We have been Spain and Tenerife, but not to Greece or Turkey. Our budget is 4k for a week flying from south west airport. Can't decide to do half board/all inclusive either. We haven't been abroad much as a family, last time was pre COVID to France.

Go to one of the Greek islands don’t get all inclusive. You’ll miss out on All the delicious fresh fish lamb etc in the different restaurants along the beach or port. The islands offer a bit of adventure - hydrofoils ferries to fishing boat trips to other islands

All l can say is.. I've travelled to most European countries and Turkey was the worse I've ever been to.. but that's my opinion.
I adore the Greek Islands.
Cyprus and Portugal for Sumner hols.
Lanzarote for winter sun.

Definitely the Greek Islands. I’ve been everywhere ! Crete is gorgeous and loads to do there . Greek people are very friendly too , and as someone else said, don’t go all inc as the Greek restaurants are fabulous . Bed and breakfast maybe , if you can get a family run hotel that maybe has a good restaurant attached you’ve got the best of both worlds . I wouldn’t do Turkey , we’ve been a few times but a lot of the men are very disrespectful towards women and a bit creepy if I’m honest . The friendliness isn’t as genuine as the Greeks either . Corfu is also lovely . I’ve been to them all but with sons you want a bit of social life so choose a resort with a bit of everything .

Thank you! Is it expensive to eat out in Greece would you say?
