Which island are you going to?

buttercup877 · 18/05/2024 15:21

We are not sure which would be best have been checking trip advisor and tour operators but not narrowed anything down.

What’s your budget?

buttercup877 · 18/05/2024 15:27

I’d say around 20k is what I would like to spend but could go higher as it’s for a big birthday occasion.

Been there a few times - it's fab definitely a great holiday! When are you planning on going and also budget is key as this will really impact price. We have always stayed on Grace Bay, there are a lot of hotels along the beach with different price options. We've never done all inclusive and haven't felt like we've missed anything due to that, there are a lot of restaurant options around the main town area and the Graceway Gourmet supermarket is great for lunches and snacks (the hotels we've stayed at have normally had bikes you can use to get to the supermarket). We've stayed at the Oasis on Gracebay twice and loved it but it's got a lot more expensive and we've now been priced out! Last time we went we stayed at Ocean Club West which was on the cheaper end of hotels - it was good, rooms were slightly older but felt fair for what we paid. Happy to give more suggestions - as you can tell we've been a few times!

Sorry to double post but posted at same time! For that kind of price you can definitely look at the super high end hotels (very jealous!). Parrot Cay has always been on my bucket list, would definitely say look at that over somewhere like the Ritz on Grace Bay as for that kind of money I'd want my own beach! Amanyara is another option though you might burn through money quickly there. Some of it also comes down to whether you're happy to stay on resort and eat all your meals there or if you want to have access to different restaurant options, if you want to have access to different restaurant options you're better off staying on Provo but at one of the more boutique hotels further out of town (maybe look at the Wymara?) - if you want super high end and don't mind staying at the resort Parrot Cay is def worth looking at!

Thanks for all the info. We would be looking at going in March/April but avoiding Easter.

I have had a look at the Wymara already and will check the other options you have suggested.

So at Grace Bay is this a busy beach area? Also if eating out are meals expensive around there?

Ive just looked at Parrot Cay and that looks amazing. I definitely have a lot of research to do as know very little about the destination.

Can I ask do you tend to book flights and hotel separate or though an agent?

Thanks so much.

If you want secluded resort or private island vibes:

Ambergris Cay
COMO Parrot Cay
Amanyara
Pine Cay
Sailrock Resort

If you want to still be closer to other amenities:

The Palms
Ritz-Carlton Turks and Caicos
The Shore Club
Seven Stars
Grace Bay Club

You could look at doing a package through one of the airlines - Virgin or BA probably. Or you could use a luxury travel agency - Tully Luxury Travel would be my recommendation

@cherryassam that’s great thank you. I’ll check through the list.

We went to Parrot Cay which was amazing and beautiful ..but the mosquitoes were horrendous so I wouldn't be rushing back.

buttercup877 · 18/05/2024 16:38

Oh that’s something to think about as I am a mosquito magnet. Thanks for letting me know.
