Suddenly panicking about taking 2 month old to spain

So excited to be off to Spain on Monday for 10 days - but woke in middle of the night (to feed!) and was wondering if I should whizz down to doc to get 1st lot of jabs - and also find out where the nearest hospital is to Almeria??? Also - car hire place says they do baby seats, but should we take ours?

Are you breastfeeding. If so that is one major worry out of the way.

I think it's too early for jabs isn't it?

Good idea maybe to find out where doc/hospital is.

Take a carseat.Never assume you will find a suitable/safe one.

I've travelled a lot with tiny kids. You'll be fine.

Have a look on www.mumsinspain.com thee will be someone from the area that you are going to who can probably advise you of nearest hospitals etc.
I would take carseat as normally they are pretty rubbish.

We took our 3 month old (along with our 2.5 year old) on a ferry/car over to France when she was 3 months old. Since she was breast fed, it was really easy and she was incredibly portable. WE went in early September and the weather was still really warm, so we just took a UV tent with us as well so whenever we hit the beach, we knew that she would be out of the sun and kept cool.

Definitely take your own car seat though - we did this when we took dd1 out to Spain when she was 9 months old and I'm really glad that we did.

I rang the doc and they won't vaccinate her till we get we should fine, and apparently there are 4 hospitals in Almeria! will def take carseat - i just hope the cars have seatbelts - i seem to remember they didn;t have seatbelts when i went to barcelona 10 years ago!
