What sort of things do you both like doing and what’s your budget?

McMcMc · 17/05/2024 07:37

My post Alevel teen and I are going to Disney Paris.. neither been before. We're going before the French and English schools break up. I'm more excited than they are 🤣 (1st time going)

We are quite active and adventurous but I would quite like a bit of chill and swim too. They definitely don't want to go away for longer than a week though. I had thought Florida but perhaps too far for a week. Looked at Spain, Turkey for just sun or an activity type holiday with hiking / rafting. Just cannot decide!

Skibiddy · 17/05/2024 08:08

Lisbon? Can do city and beaches there.

We've booked a 6 night Lisbon break with DS18.3 nights in the centre where we'll do sight seeing and maybe a food tour, then 3 nights by the coast.

Barcelona? Also city and beaches!

Bythecooker · 17/05/2024 08:53

Thanks for all the ideas. Lisbon and Barcelona both amazing but we have done them both!

If you are happy to drive check out Ardeche in France for outdoor activities.

budgiegirl · 17/05/2024 15:05

If you were thinking of Florida because of the theme parks, how about Salou for a few days - the theme parks/water parks are great. Then perhaps get a train/bus/drive down to Valencia?

Or if the budget stretches, how about a cruise of the med? Might be really fun for the two of you, and you'd see so much in a week, as well has having some chill time.

Italy, take in a couple of cities like Florence and Milan and stop off by a lake, coast or countryside in between. Travel around by train.

BTsrule · 17/05/2024 15:35

a Neilson holiday?

deplorabelle · 17/05/2024 16:10

Italy - so many different cities would fit the bill. Rome, Venice, Florence, Naples/Sorrento/Pompeii

Or Avignon/Nice if you prefer to speak French.

CatStoleMyChocolate · 17/05/2024 16:14

Have you been to Dubrovnik?
