There's a Facebook group called 'Extreme Day Trips' which is really good for this stuff. I've just had a quick look and it sounds like Poland and Dublin are good options from Leeds Bradford. I've been on a few extreme day trips (but from Stansted) and really enjoyed every one of them. I would definitely recommend doing it.

20 minutes round trip with Captain Boycott (sorry, couldn't resist).

Hale and Pace - Yorkshire Airlines

Comedy sketch from, I think, Hale and Pace. Really really funny.

@samarrange thanks for that - one of my very favourite comedy scenes of all time!
Re the question- Saltaire maybe?

I’ve done DUB in a day. First flight out, last flight back. Was fun. We even got a train to Bray for lunch as we’d all been to Dublin before.

I showed that clip to a friend from Yorkshire about 20 years ago and she said "That's pretty much what Jet2 is actually like!" 😂

Amsterdam would be doable.

Copenhagen is supposed to be good for a day trip.

I came to suggest ilkley but see that's not quite your question 🤣
