October hot holiday

Thought would see if the Hive minds could come up with a solution as I'm going round in circles!

Details:
8-9 nights, first two weeks of Oct
2 adults, 1 child (2.5 years)

I want: hot. Not "mild tepid Europe at the end of the season warm" but "Greece in July" hot. I guess something around 28+ during the day.
However, would also like the "amble around nice villages and tavernas for dinner" type evenings and some local culture and things to see rather than just lying on a beach.

(Yes, ideally we should just go to a Greek island in July. However timings wise, first two weeks of October is what we have.)

DH doesn't like non direct flights and thinks too long a flight would be tricky with a toddler. I'm more gung-ho and a much more experienced traveller than him, so I have a more "it's fine let's just get on with it attitude"

If I could find a place that was interesting, a bit of culture, not an AI resort, hot and good food he could be persuaded on the long haul aspect.

was considering the Middle East, but I think he's a bit sniffy about dubai being all man made and nothing of any history or culture. Oman - not enough interest and tooo barren for a toddler. Egypt - not at the moment. Turkey - I love, but think it may have started to shut down by the second week of Oct.

Anyone got any ideas?

budget for 8-9 nights, self catering or breakfast only, I guess £2-3k

How about Mozambique or Zanzibar?

It's on the list - but for a few years time. I think toddler could probably do 8ish hours on a flight before his parents want to give up!
15+ hours probably pushing it, when there's no need to do that yet

But yes, I love that area of Africa and can't wait to introduce DC to that part of the world

Goa? Definitely hot and relaxed whilst not AI land (if you pick the right bits).

Have to say though with a 2.5 year old I would avoid a long flight/jetlag - and I’d also avoid super hot temperatures if you want to do more in the day than just pool/beach.

Cyprus or southern Turkey could fit the bill if you are ok with a slightly lower temperature (sea is warm then but unheated pools are cold, there are some heated pools around though).
