Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica

Has anyone been to this hotel recently? DH is looking at it but Trip Advisor reviews not great.

Alternative hotel recommendations would be gratefully received. Preference is for adults only but we can't afford Sandals type prices.

I haven’t stayed myself but work in travel and have covered the Caribbean extensively for work.

I don’t rate the Bahia Principe Grand very highly - it has a reputation for being fairly rowdy at times(both drinks and drugs), service can be mixed and not great, food is hit and miss. It is huge which causes some of the issues. The beach is beautiful though.

Are you set on Jamaica?

if so, I would instead look at:

Jewel Paradise Cove, Runaway Bay
Sunset at the Palms, Negril
Azul Beach Resort, Negril (Adult’s only area)
S Hotel, Montego Bag
Couples Tower Isle, Ocho Rios
Couples San Souci, Ocho Rios
Couples Swept Away, Negril
