Hi ,
We are going to Port Zeland in Holland on Mon, seems abit vague as to what you cook on, only a microwave mentioned? Just wondered if anyone has been or knows the easiest route too, even with mappy it looks confusing!

We've been to Centerparcs in Holland, not that one though.

We had a middle range villa (Premier?) and it had a full sized hob and oven. I can't remember if it had a microwave or not, but all the details are on their website.

We went twice during holidays as dh was working in Rotterdam. There was certainly a hob - a remember a pretty decent kitchen but I don't tend to do challenging cooking on holiday!! Route seemed pretty easy - dh back from work tomorrow so I'll ask him. Pool was great and there were pizza and pancake places plus more on site though we went most evenings to a local town for nice food/drinks/wanders around. Again will check with h and look on the map.

We went to de kempervennen last year it was great.
Didnt do much cooking but planning to do more this time, going back on mon yipee.Kitchen was perfectly adequate if i remember rightly.

Dont think you can go wrong easily as in Zeeland itself most roads are just one lane wide

When I was a student I worked in Port Zelande for about 2 weeks (PZ wasbrandnew at the time) and from what I can remember the kitchen in the bungalows are fine but there is enough in the park itself for eating out etc,...

hope you get nice weather! Neeltje Jans is worth visiting!

Thank you all, my husband is still trying to find the easiest route from Calais, its been over 20 years since we have been that way and things have changed! Poor DH has just been diagnosed wiith cancer last week so that is why we are going, we also have 10 yr old triplets, all need a break!

yes went to de Kempervennen last year. Had a fab time, cycling everywhere and our boys (4 and 2 at the time) loved the pool, farms, play areas.

Kitchen was fine, can't remember if there was an oven but there probably was.

We went to em hoff last year and I cooked most days - first day, I went to put the oven on and couldn't find it as we didn't have one! so we had fried chops. That was in a VIP lodge as well. But you adapt and we had some lovely meals

I've been to Kempervennan and Het Hejderbos.
The Dutch don't generally have ovens even in their own homes. Everything done on hob. However I can't remember whether there was oven at CP as I would never think of cooking on holiday.
We ate out and found that in school holidays children up to 12 eat free when parents buy a meal. This has saved us quite a bit in the past although last year my 11 year old needed adult meals to fill him.

Used Sat Nav to get there - the roads were lovely and even around Rotterdam no delays.

My general opinion of the Dutch Centre Parcs is good. They are very cheap and offer much the same as the UK ones despite being owned by a different company. However they are definately more "downmarket" and a little shabbier.
The people are wonderful, last year my boys did climbing and it was a lesson in linguistics as well. The young man taking the course addressed the children in English, German and Dutch.

I have been to Het Heijebos, het Meerdal, De Huttenheugte and a Belgian. We have stayed in the Comfort and the Deluxe and I don't think we have ever had an oven. We usually get one of the dinner arrangements where you pay in advance but get a voucher for a different restaurant each night. This usually works out very good value.
