Tioman | Perhentian | Koh Samui questions

Anyone been to Tioman Island?

We're after snorkelling from the beach to reefs but with a little bit of luxury in the hotel.

We've been to the Perhentian islands before which does provide the former but not the latter of nicer hotels!

Koh Samui also provides luxurious hotels but I'm not sure about untouchable reefs that you can snorkel to?

Tioman doesnt seem to be as good as perhentian for snorkelling from what I've read online and looking at google map! We wanted to book redang, they have luxury hotels there and beaches looks more beautiful than the perhentian islands! Looks alot cleaner. We booked perhentian kecil instead because we can't afford the luxury hotels in redang.

We were on Tioman in 1990 so not exactly up to date info 😁 Beautiful place with very limited food options but I’m sure it’s different now. We had a shack directly on the beach for a couple of quid a night.
