Hi so I booked a holiday through loveholidays to Dubai and was supposed to fly with emirates but unfortunately a close family member passed away a few days before and we did not end up going on the holiday. Their policy says that you can change the booking up to 5 days before but it was too late to change for me so I am trying to get some money back for my holiday. (I also did not have travel insurance:()I know I am entitled to air passenger duty return because I did not go on the flight but when I call them up they said that they use a third party for their flights and they can’t contact emirates directly for me. When I called emirates they said the travel agent needs to apply for the refund for you. Has anyone experienced this I don know what to do? Thanks in advance.
