Hi
I have used our BA free amex flights for San Jose which I'm rather pleased about, so I wondered if anybody has good recommendations for tour agents that could arrange an itinerary and transport for us please. DH has said he would rather not drive.

Bumping as I have the same question. Usually I’m a DIY person for holidays but for Costa Rica I’d quite like someone else to do the legwork!

Yes, Costa Rica Rios are great. Kiwi/Scottish family www.costaricarios.com/

@TheCryingTheBitchAndTheFloordrobe Smile thank you ! I will certainly check them out.

I had contacted a couple of companies but got put off by one that phoned straight away and then started telling me the hotels (March 2025 not high season) would sell out so that kind of scared me off looking at anywhere else.

Late March/April IS high season and if you need accommodation for 3 children it does sell out. We've booked japan for next Easter already.

Are you okay to drive? Costa rica has massively upped their road programme and unless you're going over to the wetlands on the east coast (they have car parks and bus transfers), it's often better then driving in the UK.

Where do you fancy going and are you luxury/mid and I'll send a recomendation.

We booked everything ourselves and found it really easy - any hotel will be able to offer transfers via shared or private vehicle. You may still prefer an agent, just that I didn't find it harder than DIY travel anywhere else

@theeyeofdoe just two adults so hopefully accommodation not too tricky to find.

I am currently job hunting and I've just started an evening uni course so I just wanted some ideas around cost and itinerary at this stage. My brain is a bit frazzled atm so whilst usually I enjoy planning a trip, I just don't have the capacity for it now. Also job hunting isn't going as quickly as I expected so there is a chance we may need to cancel the flights which is easily done as they are BA air-miles ones.

DH himself said he would prefer not to drive and he is the one who would be doing it.

Your offer is very kind and I may come back to this thread in a few months.
