Has anyone had any problems recently when booking through this site? I tried to book a hotel in Thailand last week through them and had a problem at the final bit of the transaction with a message saying something like 'there is a problem, please try again or use another card'
I tried twice with the same credit card then finally booked successfully with a different card. It seemed odd but stupidly I didn't question it. This morning I checked my credit card statement to find that two payments had been charged to my card for online purchases, allegedly from Amazon, Japan, totalling £300 🙈
I've contacted the bank who have started an investigation (but can't issue an immediate refund as they said I willingly gave over my card details 😶), cancelled my card and am in touch with Booking.com who are looking into this. Is there anything else I should be doing? Has anyone else had a similar issue? I know £300 isn't the end of the world but I'm pretty pissed off and don't want to let the scamming toe rags who have stolen my data get away with it 🤬
