We currently rent a bit of a grotty flat, but it's cheap at £2k a month.
Something nice and well maintained is about £2.5k a month.
Dh wants to move because he'd like a nicer place. I would prefer to save the £6k a year and put maybe half of it towards a week's winter sun.
Has anyone else decided to live somewhere cheaper just so that they could go on holidays?
