Looking for recommendations. Needs to be vegetarian friendly but not exclusively so, central location, bookable, open on a Saturday in December and a bit impressive without being ridiculously expensive.

The restaurant at the top of the Pompidou Centre? Nice views of the city

@SiobahnRoy I use Time Out recommendations. Usually good choices and not over priced if you read the reviews and choose wisely. The other is Michelin. Scroll past the stars! You then get to the recommended ones. This has been a great source of restaurants for us and you can have some fun looking at them in detail on their own web sites. Do choose one you can easily travel to!

Also - what’s Central? Your idea might not be mine. So can you define where you mean?

Within lower arrondissements. Have plenty of ideas from guides but they don’t always give the full picture.

You could ask Les Papilles if they will do a vegetarian main. It’s a “what’s good that day” set menu. And it’s amazing.

@SiobahnRoy Unfortunately neither do people on MN. I’d rather check out menus for myself and start with a reliable guide. I have never been disappointed after matching my requirements with guide recommendations as long as you don’t use Trip Adviser!
