Well not literally but please help decide on a destination…

couple
want quiet and relaxed
stunning scenery
food
must have a pool ( non rooftop)
3hrs flight from London
budget £650pp bnb

current front runner is Kotor, Montenegro followed by Lisbon and Valletta Malta.

all suggestions welcome!

Been to Lisbon & Kotor. What time of year are you going? We went end of September and it was glorious but it had rained virtually all summer. Lisbon is very hilly, and nowhere near as scenic as Kotor Bay.

Kotor Bay is probably the most stunning landscape I have ever seen and I’ve done a lot of travelling. Take some time to get a boat to Perast (weddings popular there, fraction of the price of Italian Lakes and more beautiful) and go up in the brand new cable car for a stunning view of the area. Highly recommend.

I agree about Kotor, I’ve been to 60 countries and it’s one of the most stunning places I’ve been to.
I also love Valletta.
For scenery I’d pick Montenegro or Croatia.

Ah thank you for the responses! We are going end of August and current front runner for Kotor is the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay resort. It’s so much more expensive than we would usually spend On a long weekend but we want something more than our usual travelodge in a city centre as it may be our last trip for a while

That’s where we stayed! It was very lovely. Fabulous breakfasts, make sure your room is in the “new” bit (most rooms are). It’s not near anything though so you’ll need to get cabs - or boats.

We did private boat hire a few nights because fuck it - worth every penny. One night our driver was a chap my son’s age from the Montenegrin National water polo team. 😎

I wouldn’t hire a car as the roads round the bay are terrifying to the uninitiated.

I barely drive in this country so will take that advice and boat / cab everywhere! If you have any restaurant recommendations I’d be most grateful :)
