Places to stay in Barcelona

Hi
Planning a 30 year reunion with some ladies I was an Aupair with 30 years ago!
We live all over Europe so have decided on Barcelona as it's a neutral city we all have to travel too!
Where would you recommend staying? We are all late 40's and don't mind sharing a room. Planning on going for 2 nights next April and would really like a hotel which is central so that once we arrive we can walk everywhere easily until we head back to train stations/airports!
Any areas you recommend...any areas to definitely avoid?
Thank you for any advice

Las Ramblas is the obvious choice.
I've stayed there twice in different hotels, but too long ago to recommend either.

The Casa Camper was a great stay! You have your room then a separate sitting room across the hall, very quirky. The breakfast was great and they have snacks available to guests all day which come in really handy at all hours. Location is also fantastic, really recommend. https://www.casacamper.com/en/barcelona/hotel.html?gadsource=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlZixBhCoARIsAIC745CRW7ZnXbeWG4u4mrf7C9kX92ZF8R8PsDfpaxv1f0TpDvBmUYVPAnsaAibIEALww_wcB

I’ve stayed twice recently - Hotel Espana and H10 Raco Del Pi.

Both were in great locations

Last time we went we stayed at the Ohla and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Really central and has a fabulous rooftop bar.

I can recommend the Hotel Catalonia Square. Great location (next to Plaza Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia) spacious rooms and excellent service. www.cataloniahotels.com/en/hotel/catalonia-square?mb=1

Hotel Market is very good, it has a pretty decent restaurant as well.
