Hi

I'm looking to take my teen DCs away in July - august and it's getting harder to find something to satisfy all parties as they get older! We want to go somewhere where can lay by the pool, hopefully a nice beach but not just that as DS is particular will get bored.

DS (14) is pretty active.. tennis, would like to try water sports, loves snorkelling, pool, table tennis etc

DD (17) - does go to the gym so would do that and swimming.. she's also autistic and needs time alone in her room too.

I'm happy to do a bit of both.

I have come across a Neilson's holiday to Croatia but the cost is a bit eye watering! (6k for a week)

Can anyone recommend somewhere else that could work please? I'm a single parent and would prefer not to have to do loads of organising of activities when we get there (hence the attraction of Neilsons. I like the element of some but not all meals being included too.

Thanks!

Magic life / it's a TUI brand. Had lots a scheduled sports included including teen programme though I went in term time and they weren't running. The fuerteventura one is right on the beach. There were water sports like surfing and snorkelling trips for extra. Ai, we spent literally nothing.

Going to Pompeii with ours.
Hotel with pool at Pompeii- about £1k.
Easyjet flights- about £900.
Lots to do- Naples, sorrento as well as Pompeii and Herculaneum. And pool in afternoon when hot.

Our family love Neilson for all the reasons you've identified although it is expensive.

Croatia is not the cheapest resort, did you look at any of the others? The earlier you can go the better, they seem to have availability in Messini or Sardinia for just over £4k in mid July (still a lot but you get activities and most meals without having to organise anything)

@smellpretty
Oh that's interesting. For some reason I thought Croatia was the cheapest! I'll have another look thankyou
