Hi, has anyone visited here without a car? We are staying at the Conrad but don’t drive and have a 10 month old so am planning on hiring a car seat and using Uber - just wondering if anyone had been and done the same or had any tips? Thanks

Hi, we’ve stayed at the Conrad a few times. The hotel can organise transport for you but they’re more expensive than Ubers. We’ve never had a problem getting Ubers even in peak season - sometimes a few minutes wait. They have booster seats but not car seats.

Thanks I think we will use the car service that the hotel uses as I do want a car seat for each journey

I think Conrad has a shuttle bus to beach beside Maria’s and you’re just across road from many restaurants/shops at the Quinta Centre so you might not have many journeys (however it’s a very ‘driver’ place ) . Little rascals Algarve do equipment hire and can organise transfers we get them to drop the equipment off where we’re staying and they pick it up again when we leave. Have a nice holiday :-)

Marias beach is just for Maria’s restaurant now and the Conrad beach is at Vale do Lobo. There is a shuttle bus to the praca there and then it’s about a 10 min walk to the Conrad area. It’s not free either - think it’s 40 EUR for a sun bed all day there.

Thanks thats good to know I think we will only do one day at beach anyway and will want to eat at Maria’s so happy to do either of those options! I think I will hire a car seat but also use the hotel taxi company as they have confirmed they have car seats - won’t be every day as I think we will do one evening at Tony’s and another at the cheeky pup
