Hi

the DCs and I are departing from heathrow friday night (Not terminal 5 thank goodness!).

Should we drive to the airport? I want to get there about 6pm and would be going on the M25 from j 24. Will it be hellish?? Should we get the tube?

TIA

This is a nightmare. I come round from the A12 to M4 a lot and every time I have done a Friday I have always got out of the car, drank a bottle of wine and said 'I am never doing that fing journey again' - worst case was 8.5 hours! Whatever time you think it will take, double it in all seriousness and you are close. If you need to drive, leave plenty of time and check the traffic - good luck.

DH has had horrific experiences on the M25 on a Friday at that sort of time - I really really wouldn't do it if you have a plane to catch.
On the plus side, the stress levels of the M25 drive would make the flight with DCs feel like a walk in the park .

I wouldn't!
